RVP~1875: History Boy Theatre was honored as one of the two best tourist attractions in rural Iowa, sharing the award with the John Wayne Birthplace and Museum in Winterset.
The award was made at the Iowa Tourism Conference in Davenport last month. The conference is hosted by the Iowa Tourism Office and the travel Federation of Iowa. The awards are selected based on self-nominations.
“Iowa’s tourism industry is full of hard-working, passionate people dedicated to delivering our legendary warm hospitality and providing travelers with lasting memories,” said Shawna Lode, manager of the Iowa Tourism Office in a press release.
“There is no higher award in the state for tourism experience,” said Keith Rahe, president of the Travel Foundation of Iowa. “We’re pleased to recognized these recipients for their extraordinary efforts.”
The Grout Museum district in Waterloo won the Attraction award in the metro division.
